Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on August 13, 2026.
We at Food Journal Magazine are working to make our site www.foodjournalmagazine.com accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we treat it as part of publishing, not a one-time project.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
Food Journal Magazine is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard. Known gaps are listed below under Known limitations.
Steps we have taken so far:
Used the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and correct accessibility issues
Set the language of the site
Set the content order of the site's pages
Defined heading structures across the site's pages
Added alternative text to images published from July 2026 forward, with an ongoing audit of earlier posts
Reviewed color combinations against the required contrast ratios
Reduced the use of motion on the site
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content
Some content on this site is provided by third parties and is not under our control. This includes embedded ticketing and registration widgets, embedded social media posts, embedded video and audio players, and mapping tools. Where these appear, accessibility depends on the provider, and we declare partial compliance for the pages that contain them. When a third-party embed presents a barrier, we will supply the same information in an accessible format on request.
Requests, issues, and suggestions
If you find an accessibility issue on the site, or if you require further assistance, you are welcome to contact the organization's accessibility coordinator. We aim to respond within five business days.

Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working to resolve them:
Alternative text on images in articles published before July 2026 is incomplete in places. These posts are being reviewed and corrected on a rolling basis.
Heading order in some archived articles is not fully sequential.
Embedded third-party widgets, including ticketing, social, video, and mapping tools, may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Accessibility of these elements is determined by the provider.
Documents and pages hosted on external sites that we link to are outside our control.
If you encounter any of these and need the information in another format, contact us using the details above and we will provide it.
Assessment and technical information
This statement was prepared following a self-evaluation carried out on August 13, 2026, using the Wix Accessibility Wizard together with manual keyboard navigation and screen reader testing.
Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. It is designed to be compatible with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, used with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. It may not perform as expected on older browsers or unsupported assistive technology.
If we do not resolve your concern
If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, please write to info@foodjournalmagazine.com with "Accessibility escalation" in the subject line. The editor reviews these directly.
