Smorgasburg's Ice Cream Alley Hits Its 10th Year, With Four Sundays Left

Ten years of launching LA's ice cream makers, and four Sundays left to catch it.
Ice Cream Alley, the summer ice cream showcase inside Smorgasburg LA, is running Sundays through September 6 for its 10th anniversary. It sits within the regular weekly market at ROW DTLA, which runs every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why it matters more than a scoop
Ice Cream Alley functions as a launchpad rather than a sideshow. Vendors that started there as summer pop-ups before earning permanent spots at the market include Wanderlust Creamery, which was there in year one, plus Kinrose Creamery, Happy Ice, Sad Girl Creamery, Moom Maam and Bernie's. If you have eaten any of those around town, this is where they got their first regular audience.
A new class joins them for the 2026 run. Sad Girl Creamery is on the roster with Latin-inspired, nostalgia-driven flavors including the ice cream tacos it has become known for. The full lineup rotates week to week, and Smorgasburg posts the current schedule ahead of each Sunday.
What else is there
The ice cream is one thread inside a much larger market. Smorgasburg LA runs more than 60 food vendors on a given Sunday, alongside shopping across design, craft, vintage, style and wellness, plus DJs and family activities. Smorgasburg operates the largest open-air food markets in the country, with sibling markets in New York, Jersey City, Miami, Toronto and Sao Paulo.
If you go
The market is at ROW DTLA, 777 S. Alameda Street, Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and food is sold by the vendor. A parking garage holding more than 4,000 cars sits on site with entry at Alameda and Bay, and the first two hours are free. Dogs are not permitted.
Four Sundays remain in the 2026 run: August 16, August 23, August 30 and September 6. Go early if you want to eat before the lines set in.
