Summer Stroll and Savor Returns to Belmont Shore August 19 and 20

Belmont Shore closes out its 2026 Summer Stroll & Savor season on Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20, with tastings running 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. both evenings along Second Street in Long Beach.

The series is the Belmont Shore Business Association's signature summer event, held on the third Wednesday and Thursday of each month. The 2026 season ran June 17 and 18, then July 15 and 16, and now closes with the August dates.

The format is straightforward. You stroll Second Street, trade tasting tickets for small plates at participating restaurants, sip your way through coffee, tea, cocktails, wine and beer, and shop the retailers along the way, covering as much of the fourteen block district as one evening allows.

How the tickets work

Tickets are sold in strips of six and are available on the day of the event starting at 4 p.m. in front of Chase Bank.

• 18 tasting tickets: $20.00

• 12 tasting tickets: $15.00

Tickets are valid for the 2026 season only and expire at 9 p.m. on August 20, 2026. If you have strips left over from the June or July nights, these are the last two evenings to spend them.

Several ticket locations operate along the route once the event is underway. At the July dates, those were Chase Bank at Second and Corona Avenue, Lash Lounge at Second and Park Avenue, and LB Swag at Second and Glendora Avenue, with cash, card and Apple Pay accepted. What to expect on the menu

The August lineup has not been published yet. The menu currently posted on the Belmont Shore site is still the July version, and the association notes that menus, ticket counts and participation are subject to change. That July sheet is a reliable guide to the scale of the thing, though: more than forty businesses took part, with most items running one to six tickets.

Sit down restaurants and bars on the July roster included Angel's Share, Breakfast Republic, Colossus, Domenico's, George's Greek on 2nd, L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele, Legend's, Liv's Seafood, Nathali Indian, Northmen Cafe, Open Sesame, Panama Joes, Rakkan Ramen, Rance's Chicago Pizza, Roe Seafood, Saint & Second, Second Owl, Shannon's Bayshore, Simmzy's, Sushi Nikkei and Zarape Cocina & Cantina.

Counter service and casual spots included Anna's Pizza Joint, Dogz, El Pollo Loco, Nick the Greek, Poke Pola, Super Mex, Taco Shore, The Win-Dow, Mini Monster, Oakberry and Salud Juice.

For dessert and coffee, the list ran through Burke Mercantile, Candied, Cinnaholic, Chapter II Coffee, Foodologie, Frosted Cupcakery, Galata Ice Cream & Desserts, Shelbrake Coffee Roasting, Sorry Not Sorry Creamery and Yogurt Land.

A few July items worth flagging as a sense of the value on offer: George's Greek bundled tzatziki with pita, a Greek salad and a beef and lamb gyro for 12 tickets when bought together. Roe Seafood poured a rock fish ceviche tostada at 6. Nathali Indian ran a full spread from chicken tikka masala down to garlic naan at 2. Saint & Second offered pork belly bao at 5, Liv's Seafood an oyster shooter at 3, and Second Owl mango sticky rice at 4. Shelbrake Coffee Roasting paired a 12 ounce coffee with $5.00 off a bag of beans.

Note that a handful of bar pours, including the cocktails at Angel's Share and the strawberry paloma at Taco Shore, were marked inside only.

Parking, seating and getting around

Tables to stop and eat are set along the street in front of the retail shops, as well as at Chase Bank and Nieto Avenue.

Parking is available across a number of public lots, metered spots and off street options, and Belmont Shore publishes a full parking guide. The district also runs a free shuttle and a bike share program, both of which make more sense than circling Second Street on a Wednesday evening.
