Latino Carnaval is back for its second year, and the free, all-ages festival lands at The Reef in South Los Angeles on Saturday, September 26, 2026, running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Presented by Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren D. Price Jr. of Council District 9 and Happy Group, the carnaval brings live music, a Ferris wheel, family activities and local vendors to 1933 S. Broadway, just south of downtown.

The 2026 Lineup

Reggaeton pioneer Ivy Queen leads a lineup of more than 20 artists and DJs, according to the festival's Instagram. Performers confirmed on the official Eventbrite RSVP page include:

  • Ivy Queen

  • Snow Tha Product

  • LEGADO 7

  • Baby Bash

  • Lil Rob

  • DJ Quik

Additional event listings also name Suga Free, El As De La Sierra and La Sonora Dinamita, which performed at the inaugural carnaval in 2025.

Food, Rides and Family Activities

Beyond the stages, organizers are promising a Ferris wheel, kid activations and a vendor marketplace, making this an easy full-day outing for families across South LA.

What we have our eye on: the food vendor roster, which has not been published yet. The 2025 edition featured local food and arts vendors from the neighborhood, and a South LA carnaval is a natural showcase for the family-run kitchens that define this part of the city. We will update this post as vendors are announced.

A Record First Year

The first Latino Carnaval took place on October 11, 2025 at South Park Recreation Center, where Council District 9 reported more than 40,000 attendees. That edition was headlined by La Original Banda El Limón in its 60th anniversary year, with Banda Maguey, Baby Bash, Oro Sólido and Nina Sky also on the bill. Councilmember Price has framed the festival as a tribute to the Latino community of South Central and the culture it carries.
