Nancy Silverton's Spacca Tutto Is Set to Anchor Palisades Village

Update, October 2026: Spacca Tutto opened at Palisades Village in October 2026 with 108 seats. The report below describes the project as it was announced in August.

Palisades Village is open again. The restaurant meant to anchor it is not, yet.

Update, August 2026: Palisades Village reopened to the public on Saturday, August 15, but Spacca Tutto was not among the restaurants serving that day. The center's own opening-day dining list named Alphabet Bar and Grill, Angelini Ristorante and Bar, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Porta Via, Alfred, K Bakery and McConnell's Fine Ice Creams. Spacca Tutto appears on tenant lists but not on the opening-day roster, and reporting in mid-August pointed to a September debut. FJM will confirm the date when the restaurant announces it.

Nancy Silverton's Spacca Tutto is an Italian American steakhouse built to anchor the rebuilt Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades. The project was announced as a partnership between the four-time James Beard Award winner, developer Caruso, and filmmaker Joseph "McG" Nichol's River Jetty Restaurant Group. It will be Silverton's first restaurant on the Westside.

The room

The 3,500 square foot restaurant occupies the anchor space formerly held by The Draycott, adjacent to The Park, designed by hospitality firm AvroKO. It sits inside a property that took roughly $100 million and 19 months of remediation to bring back, with interiors stripped to the studs and rebuilt after the January 2025 Palisades Fire.

The food and drink

Per the restaurant's page on the Palisades Village site, the menu is built on a steak program spanning a broad selection of cuts, breeds and ages, alongside seasonal salads, vegetables and seafood. Two chi SPACCA carryovers are named directly: the Focaccia di Recco and the Chicken Pot Pie. The full menu is served in the dining room and at the bar, with a separate list of small bites at the bar.

The beverage program is described by the venue as a wide-ranging wine selection alongside martinis, aperitivo and spirit-free cocktails. The opening announcement put the wine list at nearly 250 Italian and domestic labels, paired with what the team calls a fast craft cocktail approach built for all-day service speed.

Where the name came from

Spacca tutto is Italian for roughly "go for it" or "give it your all." McG has said he picked it up on the set of his 2006 film We Are Marshall, where an Italian Steadicam operator would shout it between takes to lift the crew. Caruso has framed it as reflecting resilience, creativity and courage, the qualities he attributes to the Palisades coming back.

Silverton co-owns Mozza Restaurant Group, which includes Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza, Mozza2Go and chi SPACCA. This project sits outside that group, partnered instead with River Jetty, the Newport Beach company founded by McG and Jordan Otterbein in 2007, whose portfolio includes A Restaurant and A Market in Newport, CdM in Corona del Mar and A PCH in Long Beach.

Visiting Palisades Village

Spacca Tutto is at Palisades Village, 15225 Palisades Village Lane, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272. The Caruso Concierge line for the property is (310) 525-1380. The open-air center runs roughly 125,000 square feet with more than 40 tenants, including the historic Bay Theater, and reopened 99 percent leased with about a third of the space held by new tenants.

• Parking: self-parking is complimentary for all guests through September 2026. Caruso Signature members keep complimentary parking through August 2027 and have designated spaces on Level 1. Valet is accessible from Palisades Village Lane for a fee.

• Farmers market: resumed Wednesday, August 19, with California-grown produce and handcrafted goods.

• Also new on the property: Alphabet Bar and Grill from the h.wood Group with chef Timothy Hollingsworth, and Ueki, a 14-seat omakase counter tucked inside Blue Ribbon Sushi behind a handcrafted shibori curtain, with a hinoki counter and cedar-clad room.

• Coming later: Erewhon is expected back in January 2027.
