Schezwan Club Is the Pijja Palace Team's Indo-Chinese Follow-Up, Opening Next Door

The follow-up to one of the hardest reservations in Silver Lake is going in about thirty feet away.
Avish Naran is opening a second restaurant called Schezwan Club, and it is going into the same Silver Lake strip mall that holds Pijja Palace. The concept is Indo-Chinese, the cuisine that developed in India out of Hakka Chinese cooking, and it draws on the restaurants Naran went to with his family growing up in Cerritos.
The Pijja Palace context
Pijja Palace opened in 2022 as an Indian American sports bar serving pizza and pasta built on Indian flavors, an idea that sounded chaotic on paper and turned into one of the most in-demand tables in the city. The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand the year it opened. Naran, a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education restaurant management program, has said the operating principle is simply to serve food he likes in a room he would want to sit in.
What is planned
The menu is expected to run Hakka noodles, chili chicken, steamed momos and Singapore-style chili crab, alongside a dozen or more sambals, with additional influence pulled from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. The room is being designed as a quieter counterpart to the sports bar next door, with semi-private booths, jali screens and pointed archways, and a cocktail list built on herbs, teas and spices. The Infatuation has it listed among the openings it is watching.
Timing
No opening date has been announced, and the timeline has moved more than once since the project was first reported. FJM is treating this as a coming-soon listing and will update the post when a date is confirmed.
Where it is going
Schezwan Club is going into the strip mall at 2711 Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, CA 90026, the same complex that holds Pijja Palace. The lot sits on the north side of Sunset near the Comfort Inn, with parking on site, which is a rarity on that stretch. No phone number has been published for the new restaurant yet.
