The Beverly Hills Hotel Is Opening a 94-Seat Supper Club With a Gucci Osteria Chef

The Beverly Hills Hotel is adding a supper club: 94 seats facing a center stage, with Mattia Agazzi in the kitchen and a live music program running through dinner.

The chef

Agazzi was executive chef at Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Beverly Hills, where the restaurant held a Michelin star before it closed in November 2025. Los Angeles Magazine reported that he has also worked under Joel Robuchon, Alain Ducasse and Norbert Niederkofler.

The room

Ken Fulk designed the space, with 94 plush seats oriented toward the stage rather than toward each other. Alex Le Roux of ALR Music is curating the music, with a range described as running from Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin to Sabrina Carpenter and Drake.

That is a specific kind of ambition. A supper club lives or dies on whether the kitchen can hold its own while a room is looking somewhere else, and hiring a Michelin starred chef to cook behind a stage suggests the hotel knows it.

The menu

Agazzi has described a balanced menu of coastal seafood, meat and seasonal dishes, blending California produce with Italian and Mediterranean traditions.

What we have our eye on

Dinner theater usually asks the food to be simple enough to eat while distracted. The interesting question is whether Agazzi's cooking stays as precise as it was at Gucci Osteria, or shifts toward something built for a room with the lights down.

Beverly Hills keeps turning over

The city has had an active year. Eyal Shani opened Malka, the kosher room built on open fire that Los Angeles had been missing, Bad Roman took over the old Palm on Canon Drive, and Crustacean closed on Bedford Drive after a long run.

Visiting

The Beverly Hills Hotel is at 9641 Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. The supper club is expected to open by the end of 2026 as part of the hotel's ongoing renovation.
